It's A Baby New Year!

A Not-So-Great-White-North Baby
Ready To Ring In The New Year!

I have really dropped the ball these last few months here. I'm not sure how time does slips away from me so often but I would imagine I can plead, "I'm fifty so I forget stuff." defense.
There have been lots of goings on... most I can't remember but I'll try my best.
I have reached a milestone with my cancer being in remission... no better news than that!
Dad has been doing well, even though he came down with a nasty cold over Christmas, delaying the family get-together to some time next year. (ha!) I did take him to the doctor to make sure there was no pneumonia and luckily he didn't have one!
My brother's job has been lost due to serious county budget shortfalls, it has been quite devastating for him but I'm working on his resume. The schooling he received to be a certified Humane Officer will be highly desirable in the Veterinary field. Among many other things, he is certified to perform euthanasia on both small and large animals. A real plus for a Vet's office.
The girls, (Lizard, Nic & KC) are doing well in school. Liz & Nic are getting used to the differences between college and high school workloads, and KC has adjusted to her new Senior High school very well. It's hard to believe they are already on their winter breaks and will be starting their second semesters next week!
KC is learning to drive, and my godson will be turning 16 next month! How did this happen!?!
My nephew is getting married this summer... that one's a HUGE how did that happen!?
I have been caring for a sweet little lap cat and soon she will be heading either back home or maybe to a new home. Her owner isn't sure if they want her back, and I'm trying to stick to my guns when I vowed not to have another cat since Ludie decided to live at Grandpa's house.
A friend turned 50 today is having a "Half-century" birthday party tonight. It freaks me out a little when I think of it that way. But... in the bigger picture, a half a century for me is pretty damn good!
So ends my memory of anything else of importance! But it is my wish to wish you all love, prosperity, health and happiness in the coming New Year!
